Our Name
People are intrigued by our company name, almost without exception the first question they ask is ‘What on earth is Tickling The Trout?’
Trout Tickling is the art of rubbing the underbelly of a trout, using fingers. If done properly, the trout will go into a trance-like state after a minute or so, and can then be easily thrown onto the nearest bit of dry land.
It was a popular technique amongst poachers as no (potentially incriminating) equipment was required.
We chose the name because it reflects our fundamental belief that experience, skill, patience and simplicity are necessary ingredients for generating successful outcomes
